Each box contains eight Bourbon vanilla pods.

Keep them in their glass vial, away from heat and direct light. A cool, dry place is best, not the refrigerator.

Vanilla is agricultural, not manufactured. Pod length, colour, and pliability vary from harvest to harvest. Occasional crystallisation is a sign of vanillin content, not a flaw.

Split the pod lengthwise and infuse it in warm milk, cream, sweets or savouries. Once spent, rinse and dry the pod, bury it in sugar to make vanilla sugar, or grind it once fully exhausted.

28–32% natural vanillin.

As a vanilla pod matures and its vanillin concentrates, fine crystals can form on its surface, sometimes called “givre,” or vanilla frost. It appears as a light, glistening dusting or small clusters of pale specks, and is considered a mark of quality: a sign the pod is well-cured and rich in natural vanillin.

Crystallisation looks glistening and crystalline, almost sugar-like, in white to pale tan tones. It follows the pod’s natural creases, feels slightly gritty rather than soft, and the pod still smells like vanilla underneath it.

Mould looks fuzzy, cottony, or powdery, often in white, green, blue, or black patches that spread irregularly rather than following the pod’s shape. It carries a musty or sour smell, unlike the pod’s natural aroma.

Once a tube has been opened, it cannot be returned or exchanged. Please check your pods thoroughly before opening the tube. Vanilla is a living, artisanal product, natural variation in size, color, including a fine surface crystallisation, is a normal sign of maturity and concentrated vanillin, not a defect.

Contact us within 7 days of delivery at info@nosykaia.com with photo or video proof of the damage. Claims without proof, or made after a tube has been opened, cannot be exchanged or returned.
